The N3R Ministry* (Revive-Recover-Restore)
Perhaps as much as 27% of our population will suffer from some form of substance abuse disorder during their lifetime. This percentage does not include individuals and family members who are indirectly affected by a loved one’s addictive actions. In addition to those suffering from chemical addictions, many people struggle with gambling problems, unhealthy sexual habits, and a whole host of other practices that hinder their ability to truly live as God intended.
As a recovering alcoholic, I know this:
- - It is not only hard to seek help, but also to work my recovery
- - God does not want me to travel this journey alone
- - Church is a place not to only worship and praise the Lord, but also, and more importantly, it is a community of believers who support one another.
- - Even in our own individual brokenness, together we have the strength to demonstrate the love and forgiveness that Jesus exemplified for us
Normandale Lutheran Church through NR3 is committed to explore new ways in which we can provide a welcoming place, centered in faith, for people to come together bringing and sharing with one another our hurts, hang-ups, and habits.
Please join us Tuesdays from 5:30-6:30 pm in the Normandale Youth Room for a time to come together in conversation about how as children of God we can learn to live into the life God is revealing to us. N3R is a time and place to ask questions and discern with each other how our faith in Jesus Christ is helping or can help us revive and recover from the struggles of our lives and find the restorative power that abounds through the grace of God and in turn through one another.
