Leap of Faith

Back by popular demand our daring adventurers from last summer’s tandem skydiving outing are heading out again on Saturday, August 4 and inviting you to take a leap of faith with us!

Pastor Nancy’s invitation to join her last year as she jumped into year two of her journey with cancer gathered 14 others to take the leap with her (as well as numerous folks cheering from the ground). All fourteen had some personal leap of faith that their jumps embodied and many are jumping again this year.

Does this invitation speak to you in your walk of faith?

(the first step is really the only one you take in this adventure).

Would the physical embodiment of being harnessed to a tandem guide, there specifically to keep you safe and help you find your way, be a gift to your faith walk as you “Let Go and Let God?”

Join us and see for yourself the power of embodying the spiritual invitation to step out in faith, take a leap into the future that God calls us into, and walks, jumps, holds, and brings safely through. Or come along with a lawn chair to cheer others on as the family of God, supporting and encouraging others in the power of the Spirit.

Saturday, August 4

 We leave from church at 8:15 am to carpool (or you can meet up with us at 9:00 am on site) to Westside Skydive in Winstead, Minnesota.

 Orientation and training at 9:00 am on site before we jump. Depending on numbers and weather, we will jump between 10:00 and 12:00 noon.

 Following the tandem skydives, we will gather at Sunni’s Grille in Howard Lake to have lunch and share experiences; close with devotions.

 We return to church approximately 2:00 pm. Cost for the jump: $210. Payment is made directly to Westside and all reservations are refundable up until the boarding of the plane.

Interested jumpers and cheering community should contact Pastor Nancy at nwindels@hotmail.com or call the church office at 952-929-1697 to let us know your plans for carpooling and lunch reservations.

Jumpers must contact Westside Skydiving at 1-888-758-JUMP and sign up under the Adventures in Faith Jumping Group Reservations. All payment and liability forms are done directly with Westside.
