Carlson Memorial Library

Please look around your home for any library books you might have. We appreciate you returning them before the end of the year.

The library needs help in staffing the library from 5-7 pm on Wednesdays in January. Please call Connie Hagen at 952-942-9737.

It’s for…..

Relaxation: Browse our fiction and nonfiction shelves and you’ll find bestsellers you’ve been meaning to read (fiction, poetry, drama, humor, biography, geography, travel).

Inspiration: Looking for a spark for your devotional or prayer life? (inspiration, devotional, worship, music, art, missions, theology, doctrine, morals, ethics, religions).

• Clicking on the above link takes you to the Normandale Library search page of the LibraryWorld website.

• In the search box on that page, enter a word or phrase. (The word or phrase could be a book title or author or subject.)

• LibraryWorld searches every entry in the Normandale library catalog for the entered word or phrase. It then displays a list of what it found. To see the complete catalog entry for a book, click on its title in the list.

Come In For a Visit

Please take a moment while you’re at Normandale to step into the library. It’s a quiet place where you can relax and browse.

As you look around the library, you will see a variety of materials available for checkout. These include, of course, fiction and non-fiction books, but also art prints and CD recordings of Normandale worship services.

Children delight in choosing a book from our collection of over 2000 children’s books. In fact, children from the Normandale Preschool are our biggest library users.

Library Hours

Sunday mornings, Wednesday mornings, and Wednesday evenings during the school year.

Library Location

Second floor of the education wing, across from the restrooms.

Book Return

Materials can be returned at any time by leaving them on the return box outside the library door.

libraryLibrary Staff

Greet the librarian. He or she will be happy to help you find what you are looking for and to answer any questions you have about the library.

The librarians at Normandale are all volunteers. Some are members of the Lydia and Rachel circles.

If you stop by on a Wednesday morning, you will see the librarians busy with the many tasks required to maintain the library.

The Library Mural

The back wall of the library, above the children’s section, is decorated with a beautiful mural illustrating the story of Noah’s Ark. This colorful mural was painted by a Normandale member, Lois Anderson, in 2000.
