WEEK OF HOPE -
Summer 2013 Mission Trip

At Week of Hope, our students will be challenged to live as Jesus did as they serve the needs of people through local ministries and non-profit organizations. Campers descend upon a community and provide helping hands by serving meals to the homeless, working with disabled children, sharing stories with an elderly person, and much more.

Week of Hope was uniquely designed to offer affordable youth missions that immerse your students in the life-changing experience of serving. Throughout the week, your youth are continually serving others: both people in the local community, and one another.

They'll enjoy projects like:
• Supporting local food banks
• Playing a game with an elderly person
• Helping to lead a day camp for children
• Landscaping homes, non-profits, and ministries
• Working with disabled children
• Serving a needy resident

In addition to serving the community, our group will take turns preparing meals and cleaning the facility where you will live with other youth groups during the week. Programs are led by well-trained staff leaders - but we will have the opportunity to serve by helping lead worship music and other parts of each worship program.

All 9-12th grade students and friends are invited and encouraged to be a part of this mission opportunity,

Dates: July 20 (7am) – July 27 (7pm)

Where: Austin, TX

Cost: $400 (Includes everything except extra spending money)

Transportation: Van and Personal Vehicles

Reading Buddies

This is a great opportunity to get to know the families and kids that live in Normandale House and Elliot Avenue House. We eat, pray, read, and have tons of fun! Come join the fun. Rides are provided from church to Normandale House at 5:30 pm; all are back to church by 8:00 pm.
