Border Immersion 2012
9th to 12th Grade Summer Mission Trip, El Paso, Texas - June 23-30, 2012
Step out of your everyday life -- out of your comfort zone -- and into in-depth, experiential learning and cultural immersion. The Border Immersion Experience is an opportunity to learn about the issues that affect lives of people living on the border.
OUR GROUP WILL NOT TRAVEL INTO JUAREZ.
The program includes:
- Worship at Cristo Rey
- Fellowship with the Cristo Rey Community
- Personal Accounts of Border Life
- Exposure to Mexican & Mexican-American Culture
- Tours of ‘Colonias’ in El Paso
- Presentation from People in Social Justice Ministries
- Bible Studies
- Daily Processing
- Work on Service-Oriented Tasks, If Available

Seeds Weekend (2nd & 3rd Grade) July 6- 8

Youth Camp (4-8th Grade) July 8-13
Cost: $390
Tim Team (9-12th Grade) July 6-13
Cost: $400 ($200 paid by Normandale Lutheran Church), Scholarships are available.
