January is Mission Month in Sunday School!
The Sunday School offering this year is helping build a second well to provide fresh water to over 1,000 students attending the grade school in Ntalawanda, Tanzania.
The annual Mission Auction is scheduled for Sunday, January 31.

Can You Fill A Bucket?
The Sunday School classes are reading and talking about some special books as part of Mission Month.
In connection to our living water and well project, we are learning how each of us has an invisible bucket that can be filled or emptied, depending on how we treat others and they treat us.
The Pre K, 1 & 2 and Kindergarten classes are reading “Fill a Bucket,” while Gr. 1-6 are reading “How Full is Your Bucket?”
All grades will read “Have You Filled a Bucket Today?”
These books are a great resource for family discussion, and ideas on how to express kindness, appreciation, and love on a daily basis.
NEW! SPARK Children’s Bibles available to order.

The Kindergarten and Third Grade children received the new Augsburg SPARK Bible at their Faith Marker event. The children and families receiving the Bibles have been thrilled with the new illustrations and engaging activities, and have been asking for copies for other children.
We thought YOU might also be interested in a copy or two for a family member or friend. To see a copy stop by the Welcome Center or the Faith Marker bookcase, located by the Lower Level Conference Room.
Cost is $19.99 each. Order forms available at the Welcome Center or the Children’s Ministry office.
*For any Kindergarten or Third Grade families who have not yet received their Bible, please contact Karen Gieseke.
Sunday School
Sunday School begins September 20, 2009, 9:45 am–10:45 am, between worship services during education hour.
We encourage parents to worship at either 8:30 or 11:00 am with their children.
Sunday School forms the core of Normandale Children's Ministry. We demonstrate our commitment to sharing God's Word with children by:
- offering Sunday School between worship services so families can worship together
- automatically registering all Normandale children for Sunday School
- offering Sunday School for toddlers
- holding Sunday School every Sunday from September through May
- encouraging and supporting adult involvement in teaching
- using a relational, experiential, applicable, and learner-based curriculum
- supporting a yearly faith-marker with parental involvement for every age
- integrating mission into the curriculum
- gathering all ages several times a year to experience the lesson of the day with drama, music, crafts, and food
