Dear Friends in Christ,
As the year comes to an end, and we rejoice at the coming of the Baby Jesus, we on the Normandale Foundation Board wish to share with you our accomplishments during the past year.
And 2010 has been a remarkable year for the Normandale Foundation! Here are just a few of the highlights:
- 1. We’ve granted in excess of $72,000 including two gifts to Normandale House to support staff salaries, underwriting for an assistant for Ruth Oliphant and the children’s music ministry, support for our mission trip to Peru and our final gift to the successfully completed MOM campaign.
- 2. We continued to grow our pledged assets under management through growth in planned giving and membership in our Legacy Society. We added over $800,000 in new estate gift commitments this past year, bringing the grand total of cash/deferred pledges to over $4.4 million!
- 3. We continue to grow and expand member involvement in our mission through active Normandale Foundation committee participation. We welcome the new members of our committees who bring fresh perspectives, new energy and faithful leadership!
- 4. We’ve shortened our name and changed our logo to better reflect who and what we are – Bold in Our Faith, Now and Forever. This new branding is part of our new marketing and communications plan which will be unveiled in 2011 and will incorporate programs, events and education targeted at different age groups. We want to engage all members, regardless of their age, to be involved in the important work of the Normandale Foundation.
Through this change and growth over the past year, we’ve determined that there might be better ways we will be creating new events to take place in spring that will be exciting and attractive to current and potential Foundation supporters of all ages. Please watch the church bulletin and newsletters, as well as the mail, for invitations to these new events.
Thank you so much for your support of the Normandale Foundation. We look forward to your joining us in 2011 as we continue to be bold in our faith, now and forever!

Where does the Foundation fit in?
To fulfill our mission, Normandale has three different stewardship entities that serve different purposes. The Foundation's role is unique and important, and works hand in hand with all aspects of stewardship within the church.
