Flowers in the Chancel

2012 Easter Garden and Memorials

The Easter Garden at Normandale Lutheran Church has come to be a living tribute to the memory of loved ones and a glorious reminder of the awakening. The Environment Committee invites all members of Normandale to share their blessings by means of decorating the church at Easter with blooming plants, or by making a contribution to community concerns.

Please make contributions in the amount of $16 for each gift, complete this insert, and return it to the church office along with your payment. Payment by check should be to Normandale Lutheran Church and must be accompanied by an order form.

All gifts will be recognized by way of a special insert in the bulletin on Easter Sunday.

The deadline for plant orders and contributions to community concerns is Sunday, April 1, 2012.

Click here to print out an order form.

If there is a special occasion, blessing or person you would wish to acknowledge by placing flowers in the Chancel for Sunday morning worship with an announcement in the bulletin, please see the flower chart in the narthex. Be sure to include a brief description of the occasion where indicated. Up to two arrangements may be ordered each Sunday, with the exception of Sundays during Lent.

A $50 contribution for each occasion is requested. Write check payable to Normandale Lutheran Church with a notation “Chancel Flowers” on the memo line.

Leadership Teams

Being a part of a leadership team at Normandale is a wonderful way to grow in spirit, mission and community at our church. Among a fellowship of believers together with a united purpose, I was blessed to learn about the strength in the faith of my other committee members, to spend time in prayer and Bible study as a group and also to learn about the joy of my own faith.

One wonderful aspect of serving on committees, and my most recent term on the church council, is the ability to learn about and contribute to our church's mission and the many areas that we are engaged in our mission inside and outside our own door.

And perhaps above all, my favorite part is the new relationships that have begun through this opportunity. I enjoy seeing and connecting with these new friendships in our church- what a joy!
