Funeral Ministry

Funeral Ministry Helpers Needed: Hands and helpers for the set-up, serving, and clean-up on days when Normandale hosts a funeral lunch-eon or reception.

Time commitment: Two hours on any one of these teams: set-up, serving, or clean-up. Teams of 3-4 for each (setup, serving, and clean up) are recruited two days out or so, from a call list of members of the congregation who have made known their willingness to be called for this task,

Funeral Ministry Helpers: Funerals are typically scheduled during the day, during the work week with a turn-around of five days or less to schedule, prep, and host both funeral and reception.

More Info: Normandale has committed itself to providing a warm and welcome homecoming to everyone who desires to have a funeral and reception with us. Vicki Brunsvold, Reception Coordinator for Normandale, works with bereaved families on reception plans and is the first voice of hospitality. Vicki sets plans in place for all that is needed for the reception, recruits funeral helpers with a phone call or e-mail, and is the point person during funeral events in Fellowship Hall guiding teams of helpers.
