Executive Director, Deborah Paone, MHSA

Deborah has served as Executive Director since 2004, providing administrative oversight of the Center. Working with the Board of Directors, she facilitates strategic planning, financial management, and program development on behalf of the Center. Her responsibilities also include: fundraising, grant writing and grant management, program reporting and accountability, and maintaining and building key organizational relationships with current and potential partners. Deborah maintains her own healthcare evaluation consulting firm, Paone & Associates, which she founded in 2002. Previously she served as Senior Research Associate and Vice President of Member Services for the National Chronic Care Consortium. She also was Director of the Section for Aging and Long-Term Care Services for the American Hospital Association in Chicago.

Deborah has a Master of Health Services Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Gerontological Issues in Community Medicine and sees older people as vital to our communities.

Health & Wellness Coordinator, Kim Kritzer, RN, BSN

Kim joined the Center in January of 2012 as Health & Wellness Coordinator. She is a professional registered nurse specializing in the area of chronic conditions, community and professional education, and wellness programming. She brings a wealth of experience and a passion for working with older adults and the family members who assist them. She began her career in both hospital and clinic settings. In 1997, she started her own business and has worked on numerous projects for organizations and businesses that serve those with chronic conditions, in addition to doing long term care assessments.

Kim will be coordinating the Center’s health education, wellness, foot care, exercise and evidence-based courses including those on balance, reducing fall risk and improving self-care condition management. Volunteer Coordinator, Sue Schultz

Sue recruits, trains, and monitors the efforts of over 100 volunteers who participate in the Center’s Care Team Ministry. Teams of one to four volunteers are formed to serve the needs of individual seniors in the community including getting rides for seniors with transportation needs. She coordinates volunteers at The Colony at Eden Prairie and provides assistance to The Colony with its new resident orientation.

Sue works at the Colony on Mondays, 8:30 -11:30 am. She works at the Center, Tuesdays 10 am- 4pm and Wednesdays noon-4 pm. She can be reached at 952-929-1697 ext. 31 or email sue@normluth. org.

Office/Project Manager, Patti Hankes

Patti provides administrative support and communication assistance for the Center, writing the bi-weekly page of the church newsletter as well as the Center newsletter.  As the Project Coordinator, Patti manages/tracks data and information for use in project related analysis and reporting.  She also handles registration and assists with on-site activities for workshops, classes and events. 

Patti provides office and project support to the Center. She manages the overall marketing function through community newsletters and publications. She also manages various projects and grant activity for the Center, tracking data and information used in analysis and reporting. In addition to this, Patti manages the day-to-day resources needed to keep the office running smoothly and assists with on-site activities for workshops, classes and events.

Patti has a Business Degree from the College of St. Catherine and lives in Edina with her husband and two children.

Resource Consultant, Jeanne Schuller, MSW

Jeanne works one-on-one with seniors and family caregivers to help them find resources through community agencies, county, and state programs. She helps people find adult day care, senior housing, assisted living facilities, or helps them find services to be brought into their homes.

Jeanne has a Masters in Social Work, and has extensive experience with older adults and community programs as well in working with clinic programs around specific grant initiatives. She has also served as a research assistant, worked with volunteers, AND recently completed course training on chronic disease self-management. She knows the issues that seniors and caregivers face very well.
