Help the Homeless
Our Saviour’s Housing provides shelter, comfort, hope, and community for people who are homeless. One of the ways Normandale is helping with this ministry is by providing a meal on the 2nd Thursday of every month. Several individuals, small groups, families, and youth from our congregation have donated food and served in the past, but we can always use more people who will volunteer their time.
If you are interested in helping the homeless in a personal and meaningful way, please contact the Social Ministry Committee Chair, Allison Sundquist at 952-974-9280.
Greeting Card Makers
This is a partner ministry between Normandale Lutheran Church and residents of The Colony. They gather on the 4th Thursday of the month from 6:30-7:30 pm in The Colony Café.
They spend an hour creating handmade cards for the residents to take with them, as well as to purchase in the gift store. This ministry seeks to provide an opportunity for creative expression, Christian community, and affordable cards for residents.
- Card making experience is helpful, but not necessary.
- All supplies and card designs are provided.
- Experienced card guides will be on hand.
Join us as we:
- Spend quality time with others of all ages.
- Use artistic talents (those known and as yet undiscovered…).
- Provide handmade cards for Colony residents and guests.
