Baptisms

“I am the resurrection and the life.” John 11

In Holy Baptism, God claims us as God's own. Families bring their infants, children, or adults to this sacrament. We celebrate baptisms on the 2nd and 4th Sundays during the worship service. A teaching meeting with parents, sponsors, and the pastor precedes the Baptism.

Weddings

Family and friends celebrate the gift of marriage and joy in the marriage feast with Christ which has no end. Plan for a six month (minimum) prepartory period with the pastors and staff prior to the wedding date.

Funerals

Family and friends gather to commemorate the passing of a loved one and hear once again the prayers, Bible readings, and songs of faith. Memorial services/funerals are conducted for non-members with a family tie to Normandale.

Flowers in the Chancel

If there is a special occasion, blessing or person you would wish to acknowledge by placing flow-ers in the Chancel for Sunday morning worship with an an-nouncement in the bulletin, please see the flower chart in the narthex. Be sure to include a brief description of the occasion where indicated. Up to two arrangements may be ordered each Sunday, with the exception of Sundays during Lent.

A $50 contribution for each occasion is requested. Write check payable to Normandale Lutheran Church with a notation “Chancel Flowers” on the memo line.
