Normandale Lutheran Church has openings for nursery childcare workers. Year-round employment on Sunday mornings and/or Wednesday evenings, with periodic Saturday or other evenings as available.

Experience with infants and toddlers and dependabil-ity a must. CPR training preferred, but will be provided.

Check-in and Out

When you check your child into the nursery, you will have to sign in on the registration sheet. Please bring a LABLED diaper, bottle, pacifier, or other comfort item with your child.

Sick Children

To keep the children and volunteers healthy children will not be permitted if they have experienced any of the following symptoms within the past 24 hours: fever, chicken pox, pink eye (Conjunctivitis), discharge from eyes, ears or nose, vomiting or diarrhea, any rash (except diaper), persistent coughing or bringing up phlegm, diagnosed with/or being treated for a communicable disease.

Ratios

For the safety of everyone involved, we have specific ratios and space requirements according to the developmental needs of the children. For infants, the ratio is 3:1; for young walkers, the ratio is 4:1; and for toddlers, the ratio is 7:1.
