HSHO Summer Shindig at Valley Fair!

Thursday, August 2  | 9:30-4:00  |  Completed 9th-12th Graders

Hey, High Schoolers! Join us for a fun day riding rides, swimming in the waterpark, and hanging out with Annika, Grant, and Lily, our Summer Interns! Bring your friends! Permission form is due by Tuesday, July 31, 2018.

ABLAZE Summer Youth Group

Wednesdays, June 13-27; July 11-25; August 1 & 15  |  7:15 - 8:00 pm  |  Graduating 6th-12th Graders

Songs, Scripture & S'mores around the campfire following Wednesday evening worships from 7:15-8:00 pm. ABLAZE will feature the Youth Band Squad and will take place on weeks where there are no summer trips.

Youth Summer Bible Study for 7-12th graders

Mondays, June 11, 25, July 9, 16, 23, and Aug 13 | 10:00 - 11:00am | Brueggers/Caribou at 7101 France

Come eat bagels and have fun and meaningful conversations about faith and life! All sessions led by our summer intern, Annika!

 

 

BWCA Trip 2018

Wilderness Canoe Base & the Boundary Waters | July 23-30

Approximately 20 of our youth are headed to the Boundary Waters this July! This trip offers an unmatched experience in one of the most unique wilderness areas in the entire world and a treasure of Minnesota and will feature 1-2 nights and days spent in service and fun in and around Wilderness Canoe Base, followed by 3-4 days and nights camping and canoeing in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area (BWCA). Please pray for out youth as they experience this adventure in God's creation!

 

Camp Vermilion Pray

NEW! Camp Vermilion: All-Normandale Youth Camp | Aug 5-10

NLC kids and youth graduating from grades 3-12 will be attending our NEW CAMP EXPERIENCE at Camp Vermilion in Cook, Minnesota at a one-of-a-kind, specially tailored week of camp in God’s Great Northwoods just for Normandale kids, youth and friends! Camp Vermilion is a beautiful camp on Lake Vermilion four hours north of the Cities. It will be a week of a lifetime: canoeing, learning camping skills, cooking over a fire, teamwork, deepening friendships and making new NLC friends, being silly, laughing, and learning what it means to live and love as God’s people in the world. Registration is full for summer 2018. Please pray for safety in travel and a wonderful experience in God's Great Northwoods!

ELCA Youth Gathering  |  June 25 - July 1

Sixteen of our NLC Youth who traveled to Houston for the ELCA Youth Gathering June 25-July 1! It was a wonderful experience, filled with faith, fun, and togetherness. We look forward to the next National Youth Gathering in Minneapolis in 2021!
 
 

Summer Stretch

Summer Stretch  |  July 10-12  |  9:00 am - 3:00 pm

Be Bold, Strong & Courageous! Middle-schoolers join us for three great days of fun, adventure, and service. Kids who have completed 5th grade - 7th grade will spend each morning at NLC worshiping, playing games, and doing a service project for the community.  After lunch we’ll take a bus to a MYSTERY location for a fun afternoon!  A water park?  The MN Zoo?  Valleyfair?  An IMAX movie? Rock Climbing? Registration is full for summer 2018. Please pray for our middle schoolers as they are bold, strong, & courageous in service and fun this week! Questions?
